Franklin Junior Football is an introductory, full tackle program focused on teaching young players the fundamentals of football. Players will learn proper techniques and fundamental concepts of football in a fun, safe environment. Our objective is to help players develop a love for the game while exposing them to the longstanding football traditions of the Franklin Community. SABER PRIDE!

  • The program is divided into 2 divisions, by grade:
    • Pee Wees: Second & Third Grade
    • Juniors: Fourth & Fifth Grade
  • A mini combine is held in June to measure players for equipment & complete player evaluations
  • Teams are formed with a focus on competitive balance
  • Key considerations:
    • Size of players (height & weight)
    • Player skill level
    • Equal number of players/team
  • Every effort is made to honor team requests, but balanced teams & assignments of our volunteer coaches take first priority



  • Practices are held Mondays & Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7:00pm
    • Pee Wees: Wednesday only
    • Juniors: Monday & Wednesday
  • Practices are conducted in a camp-style format where players are taught the fundamentals of football and given an opportunity to experience all positions on offense and defense
  • Games are held on Saturday mornings
  • 6-game schedule
  • This is an in-house league where teams compete exclusively against other teams in their division of Franklin Junior Football
